Capture photography and aerial drone coverage of the 260-unit Valencia Gardens community as part of Mission Housing's 38-property portfolio engagement.
Valencia Gardens spans a five-acre site between Valencia, Guerrero, and 15th Streets in the Inner Mission District, with 260 family and senior units across sixteen buildings completed in 2006. The site replaced a 1950s public housing development through a HOPE VI redevelopment effort led by Mission Housing and the San Francisco Housing Authority, and the design has since earned an AIA National HUD Secretary's Housing Award. We captured the property at the start of Day 1, beginning with exteriors along Valencia Street to anchor the portfolio's Mission District coverage, then moved through the interior courtyards and the private drive at Rosa Parks Lane. Aerial drone work documented the four-story street frontages alongside the three-story interior buildings and the sculpture garden plaza. The scale and architectural ambition of this site set the visual tone for the rest of the portfolio.
