The Brief
Capture photography and aerial drone coverage of the Juan Pifarré Plaza community as part of Mission Housing's 38-property portfolio engagement.
Juan Pifarré Plaza occupies the corner of 21st Street and South Van Ness, completed in 1996 with architecture by Gonzalo Castro and Asian Neighborhood Design that draws context from the surrounding Victorian residential fabric. The property houses low-income households, includes integrated supportive units, and features a large community garden built and maintained by residents. Coverage focused on the corner architecture and the garden, with the building's relationship to the surrounding Mission District residential streets captured both at ground level and from above.
