Frenchman's Reef - Westin & Buoy Haus | USVI

We had the pleasure of collaborating with Fortress Investment Group and their subsidiaries, including Marriott International, Westin, Buoy Haus, and Aimbridge Hospitality for this project.

Project Overview and Highlights

In April 2021, Fortress Investment Group acquired the 486-key Frenchman’s Reef Resort in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Originally built in 1973, the resort had been heavily damaged by hurricanes in 2017. Leveraging their experience from repositioning the Westin Grand Cayman, Fortress saw significant potential in Frenchman’s Reef. After acquiring the property comprehensively renovating it, upgrading it to a Westin/Autograph Collection hotel, and re-imaging it’s amenities the resort finally was opened.

Objectives:

The primary objective was to produce a suite of high-quality video content that captured the  the successful transformation of the property, the expected performance of the asset, and the ESG initiatives undertaken by Fortress geared toward current and prospective investors.

The first piece of marketing collateral would be a 2-3 minute video to be used on the Fortress Website / sent to Investors — whilst the second was a long-form video (10-15 minutes) that would be played at their conference.

For this deliverable, we created a concise 2-3 minute version of a comprehensive 20-minute documentary for our client. The video included onsite ground footage captured by our team in a multitude of locations around the globe, along with interviews captured by several key figures.
