Capture photography and aerial drone coverage of the 30-unit Abel Gonzalez Apartments community as part of Mission Housing's 38-property portfolio engagement.
Abel Gonzalez Apartments is a 30-unit senior community on Capp Street, the result of an adaptive reuse of a four-story Classical Revival/Industrial structure donated to Mission Housing by Pacific Bell in 1990. The conversion to apartments completed in 1992 earned a National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials Award of Merit for innovative use of public/private partnership and adaptive reuse. The building retains exterior detailing including rusticated pilasters, decorative cornices, and the original exterior roll-down shades on the north facade. We captured the property at the end of Day 1, with photography focused on the architectural character that distinguishes this building from typical multifamily affordable stock.
